How do I clean my glasses?
The most effective method for cleaning your safety glasses is to use warm, soapy water. Just remember to dry them right away with a soft cloth after cleaning. The protective pouch they come with is ideal for this purpose!
Why are metal-less hinges important?
During an impact there is always a risk that your glasses frame and the arms will detach due to the speed and intensity of the collision. Our screwless hinges are designed to reduce the likelihood of the safety glasses breaking apart and are preferable if the worse should happen. You wouldn’t want a metal screw close to your eye should impact occur! Not only that, but it makes them a bit more durable on site as you don’t need to worry about rust or losing a screw!
What’s in the box?
Every pair is packaged in a black case crafted from recycled materials. This case is perfect for storing your new specs when they're not in use. It’s also soft enough to use as wipe provided it’s clean enough. And of course, don't forget about your new S.FE glasses!
Are they certified?
Absolutely. We are fully compliant with the latest standard, ISO 16321:2022. You will soon notice this standard being implemented widely, as it will completely replace EN 170/166 and others. This is the internationally harmonized testing standard that all companies will need to adopt going forward. Our glasses are independently tested and have been awarded the CE certification accordingly.
How are you environmentally friendly?
We launched S.FE with a commitment to a greener future- the E in S.FE is for environment after all! Our eyewear is made from Recycled Polycarbonate, ensuring it remains lightweight, durable, and comfortable. This innovative material is sourced from repurposed plastic bottle waste, allowing us to maintain high quality without compromising our values. Even our pouches are made from recycled materials. We take great pride in turning waste into valuable resources. Every element of our product is designed to reduce unnecessary plastic & packaging, and we continually integrate recycled materials wherever possible. If it’s not available, we are challenging our suppliers to find it! It’s not just a buzz word, it’s part of our company way of working.
How do you pronounce S.FE?
This cracks us up! Whether it's Safe, S Dot FE, S F E, or something even more adventurous, we truly appreciate your support so as long as you're enjoying our work, you can call us whatever you like!
How do you test your glasses?
Our glasses undergo rigorous testing to meet the standards of ISO 16321:2022. They are CE certified by an independent testing facility and are also extensively tested in-house to ensure top-notch quality.
The grey smoke and mirrors lenses provide 100% UV protection, just like traditional sunglasses. They are evaluated for scratch resistance through a sand scrape test, subjected to a metal ball bearing shot at a speed of 45 meters per second, and undergo hot and cold testing processes to confirm that performance remains unaffected.
As a result of these thorough evaluations, they achieve G0/G3, C, and K markers on the lenses.
